Inspired by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s round watches from the 1950s and 1960s, the Master Control collection beautifully symbolizes Grande Maison’s technical expertise and craftsmanship in sophisticated design. The Swiss manufacturer now introduces an eye-catching new variant: the Master Control Chronograph Calendar in rose gold with black dial. Reminiscent of mid-20th century colored watch dials, the complete calendar and bi-compax chronograph recreate their classic appeal in stunning modern style.
The dial is framed by a heart rate scale marked around the flange (a traditional indicator originally developed for doctors to measure heart rate), which is traditionally marked in red. Creating a vivid contrast with the black dial, the red is repeated on each of the blue-finished sub-dials and in the date and month windows. There is also a circular moon phase indicator including a date pointer on the watch. The sophisticated appeal is complemented by rose gold-tone dauphine hands and trapezoidal indexes.
The Master Control has a diameter of 40mm and a height of 12.05mm, distinguished by beautiful finishes, such as a satin finish on the case edges and lugs while the bezel, crown, pushers and beveled lugs are polished. It is driven by the self-winding caliber 759. This integrated chronograph movement with a 65-hour power reserve features a column-wheel chronograph mechanism with vertical clutch, linked to a triple calendar with moon phase display.
Its excellent finishing quality can be seen through the sapphire crystal case back and includes Côtes de Genève motifs, blued screws and the Jaeger-LeCoultre open-worked gold rotor bearing the ‘JL’ motif.
Pricing for the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Chronograph Calendar is marked at $35,200.
