Chopard, a name synonymous with luxury and precision in jewelry and watches, has once again pushed the boundaries of watchmaking excellence with its latest creation, the LUC Full Strike Sapphire. A brand renowned for its commitment to craftsmanship, Chopard’s LUC collection uniquely represents the fusion of tradition and innovation in watchmaking, with its distinctive minute repeater. This difference is the latest proof.
Like watches from more than thirty other famous brands, this model will serve as Chopard’s highlight at the upcoming WatchTime New York 2023 event, taking place from October 20 to 22 at the Hall Manhattan’s prestigious Gotham. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience LUC Full Strike Sapphire up close and immerse yourself in the world of high-end watchmaking.
LUC Full Strike Sapphire boasts an attractive fast case. Crafted from blue sapphire, the case, integrated crown and dial are cut from blocks of a material that is notoriously difficult to machine. The 42.5mm diameter case stands out in deep blue thanks to the meticulous use of chromium and rare earth elements, providing a 360-degree view of the meticulously finished, minute-by-minute movement inside. This masterpiece of a watch notably bears the prestigious Poinçon de Genève quality mark, which refers to the quality of both the design and finishing of the movement and case.
The sapphire dial of the LUC Full Strike Sapphire enhances legibility thanks to its unique design. A railway-style minute track is directly engraved and painted on the sapphire, ensuring that the indicator elements are clear and easy to read. Rhodium-plated herringbone hour markers and black shifting parts add to the visual appeal of the dial. The concentric power reserve indicator, with two hands indicating power level, adds a functional and aesthetic element to the display.
At the heart of the LUC Full Strike Sapphire is the LUC 08.01-L hand-wound mechanical movement, comprised of 533 parts and 63 jewels. This movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph and has a power reserve of 60 hours. The mainplate and its bridges are made of untreated nickel silver, decorated with a Côtes de Genève motif, which together help showcase the brand’s incredible details. Notably, the movement is equipped with a patented resonant sapphire gong, ensuring exceptional tonal richness and tonal intensity during the minute repeater’s chiming.
The new Chopard LUC Full Strike Sapphire is limited to a total of five versions, with pricing available upon request.
