The new BMW 2 Series Coupe is currently a small sports car with a modern, angular design and many new technologies from BMW. Therefore, this car model has soon become an interesting choice for many car enthusiasts around the world. Above all, the 2 Series Coupe will definitely be a car that tuning companies cannot ignore.

After 2 months since its official launch, BMW 2 Series cars are gradually being manufactured and distributed to markets around the world. Recently, the brand recorded the first BMW 2 Series rolling off the production line of the BMW Group Plant San Luis Potosi, Mexico. According to BMW, all new BMW 2 Series Coupes will be produced at the Mexican factory and will be delivered to markets globally. Therefore, the Manhart Performance brand decided to “get ahead” with the upgrade package on this model.

The brand named the upgraded version MH2 450, with the number 450 being the expected capacity the car can achieve after undergoing the upgrade process. This model is upgraded based on the M240i xDrive version equipped with a 3.0 liter, 6-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing a maximum capacity of 382 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through an 8-speed gearbox and xDrive drive system optimized for the rear axle with an M Sport differential.

The BMW 2 Series Coupe also has a lower version, the 230i, equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine capable of generating maximum power of 255 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. . Power is transmitted to the wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission, allowing the car to accelerate to 96 km/h in 5.5 seconds. It is unclear whether Manhart Performance will release an upgrade package for this version or not.

In order to increase the vehicle’s capacity to about 70 horsepower, the brand has upgraded the vehicle to the MHtronik Powerbox system and upgraded the stainless steel exhaust system. With this upgrade, Manhart is expected to increase the vehicle’s output power to about 444 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. With this power, the MH2 450 version will have the same power as the new generation BMW M4.

Accompanying the engine upgrades are custom forks that help lower the overall height of the vehicle and the familiar 20-inch dual-spoke 6-spoke rims of the Manhart Performance brand. In addition, the small sports car is also equipped with a simple carbon bodykit for the front bumper, side skirts as well as the rear diffuser of the car. The custom version will also be decorated by the brand with familiar gold-colored decorative borders on custom cars from Manhart Performance.

The new BMW 2 Series Coupe is a compact sports car that focuses on dynamics. The car’s sporty design with angular lines was penned by Jose Casas, a Mexican who is now a senior exterior designer for the BMW Group in Munich. After completing the design phase, the development department of the BMW Group in Germany coordinated with the Production Planning Department of the BMW Group in San Luis Potosi to conduct commercial production of this model in order to soon distributed to markets around the world.

The overall dimensions of the new BMW 2 Series Coupe are 4,547 mm x 1,839 mm x 1,392 mm (length x width x height) and the wheelbase is 2,741 mm. With this size, the car is 109 mm longer, 66 mm wider and 25 mm lower than the previous generation. The wheelbase has also increased by 51 mm, making the second row of seats wider than its predecessor. Currently, Manhart Performance has not yet announced the price for this tuned version, but with the big changes that Manhart Performance brings, the selling price for this tuned version probably won’t be cheap.
