Carmen Boulogne is a supercar from the Spanish car brand Hispano Suiza. This year, the brand also brought its top Hypercar to the IAA Mobility 2021 car show taking place in Munich, Germany. In the German market, the car model will be represented and distributed by Mohr Group and it is this brand that brought Carmen Boulonge to IAA. This Hypercar seems to meet all the criteria of a modern Hypercar model with an output capacity exceeding 1100 horsepower and equipped with a zero-emission electric motor. Furthermore, the car has an extremely different design compared to any Hypercar model ever launched.
The Hispano Suiza Carmen was first launched in March 2019 and the Boulogne version was presented in March 2020. This version of the car is upgraded with a body finished in bare carbon fiber and details Copper-colored decoration and aggressive 10-spoke wheels, thereby completing the impressive beauty of the Hypercar from Spain. The brand also sells a more powerful variant of the electric powertrain with four electric motors producing a combined output of up to 1,098 horsepower and 1,600 Nm of torque.
With the combination of four electric motors, the car is capable of accelerating from 0 – 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and has a maximum speed electronically limited to 290 km/h. This impressive Hypercar model is equipped with an 80 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack that allows the car to operate over a distance of about 400 km per charge and this system also supports convenient fast charging.
Speaking about the delay in the production of the brand’s electric Hypercar, Sergio Martínez Campos, CEO of Hispano Suiza said: “We are delighted to participate in IAA Mobility 2021 with the Mohr Group, Our official agent in German Market. It is a real privilege to be able to present our Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne to the German public and international media. We had planned to launch the car for the first time at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, but COVID-19 forced us to change our plans. We look forward to seeing showgoers’ reactions to our state-of-the-art Hypercar. I think Boulogne will receive good feedback from experts as well as visitors to the exhibition.”
According to the brand’s announcement, Hispano Suiza will produce about 14 regular Carmens and 5 Carmen Boulogne with unique equipment. In addition, the starting price for this unique car model is set at 2 Million Dollars. Production plans for this Hypercar model are expected to start in Barcelona, Spain with the first cars being shipped and delivered to customers in 2022. In addition, the brand also estimates the production time. Producing each car can take about 7 months.
This unique, elegant Hypercar model was developed and manufactured entirely in Spain. The car has an exterior design inspired by the classic Dubonnet Xenia and shares the values that have made Hispano Suiza one of the most luxurious and classy car brands in the car industry. The brand’s cars are characterized by timeless design, meticulous craftsmanship and attention to the smallest details.
