Just released by H. Moser & Cie at Dubai Watch Week is the new Streamliner Small Seconds Blue Men’s watch. Taking Moser’s highly successful integrated sports watches and adding a completely new movement, the SSBE is smaller than the standard Streamliner and adds a stunning blue dial that can make a statement. Best looking version ever.
Completely new is the HMC 500 automatic movement, the smallest movement the brand has developed (at least in the 21st century since the brand was revived) and more importantly, it is a rotor movement The brand’s first micro. Moser’s sister companies Precision Engineering AG and Agenhor were responsible for helping build the movement which required significantly smaller parts such as the new escapement and the platinum-made micro-rotor mounted on ball bearings and Equipped with a two-way winding system. Finished in a dark anthracite gray coating with Moser stripes, the HMC 500 operates at 21,600 vph with a 74-hour power reserve.
This new movement allows for a case 39 mm wide and 10.9 mm thick with a water resistance of 120 m. The classic Streamliner case and strap shape is unchanged although the dial is certainly new. Dubbed “Aqua Blue” in Grand Feu enamel consisting of three pigments, the dial features an engraved pattern executed on a gold background. The classic Globolight-coated Streamliner hands are still present while the central seconds hand is replaced by a circular patterned lacquered seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock.
