Cartier uses a rectangular watch face in the new design, Longines recreates the classic version of the 1940s…

L’Officiel magazine introduces 6 watch models with unique and creative styles.

Recreating the 1940s

The reinterpretation of the Longines Classic 1946 line retains the self-winding movement exclusively developed by Longines and the italic font in Dolphin font. The hour and minute hands are made from green steel with a unique leaf shape, looking more elegant than the old version.

The 2020 version reverses the position of the two sub-dials, the small seconds counter is at 3 o’clock and the 30-minute counter is at 9 o’clock, instead of the opposite like the original. The strap is also modernized with soft, semi-translucent leather, giving it a streamlined, elegant feel. If you prefer genuine leather designs, you can refer to the brown version with a date display

Shining green color

The Montblanc 1858 Split Second Chronograph Limited Edition 8 has a jade green nephrite dial, a first for a Montblanc watch, and a matching alligator leather strap. Accessories include 18-carat rose gold-plated luminous hands, 2 sub-dials with small seconds counter at 9 o’clock and a minute counter at 3 o’clock.

The new version is equipped with caliber MB M16.31, pushing the power reserve to 50 hours. In addition, the manufacturer also added a speed scale in the center and a telemeter on the outside. Outstanding red details on the body optimize time tracking day and night.

Simple but attractive

The Slim d’Hermès Cheval Ikat model is considered by brand enthusiasts to be a work of art with a simple set of hands right in the middle of the watch face. The galloping horse detail inside the dial is embroidered with gold thread, using Ikat’s traditional weaving technique to create a sophisticated image, surrounded by white gold streaks like the night sky.

The 39.5 mm diameter dial with self-winding movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, offers a 42-hour power reserve, and has a black alligator strap.

Timeless creativity

Rado brand combined with Austrian fashion designer Flora Miranda to launch a special edition – Rado True Thinline Deep Web. Flora Miranda commented that the new model is alien, extravagant, extreme, exclusive and interesting. The hour hand is transformed into thin lines, radar waves on a metallic background display hours and minutes.

The accessory uses an automatic movement to differentiate it from other models in the Rado watch series. Black and white colors are harmoniously calibrated, bringing timeless beauty to the design.

Familiar style

In the early 20th century, Cartier launched the first curved rectangular bracelet model Cartier Tonneau. The accessory immediately received strange comments from many people, challenging the concept of a round watch. However, the design later attracted time machine hunters.

To celebrate the birth of its signature design, Cartier introduces a new version, scoring points with a dial that reveals the chassis, incorporating a dual time zone. The company wants to honor the Tonneau XL dual time zone design in the Collection Privée Cartier Paris (CPCP). Many fashionistas appreciate that the company cleverly arranged the two sets of time zones symmetrically and linked together, helping to display the time impressively while still maintaining the curved edge of the case.

Classic design

Breitling Navitimer B03 Chronograph Rattrapante 45 – a pilot’s watch – scores points with a smart chronograph, attached with some complex techniques. The accessory is supported by the Rattrapante seconds splitter – one of the most complex mechanical movements, displayed on the satros gray dial. The new Breiting model has a 45mm thick case, made of 18-carat red gold and a crocodile leather strap.
